Marketing Signal checks
Use the checks hub to understand one Marketing Signal report. It explains what the score includes before you triage a Page Check.
Open the checks hub
Go to Marketing Signal checks. The page documents the report shared by the dashboard and supported agent surfaces.
Read the report headline
The headline contains three parts:
- A numeric score from 0 to 100.
- One band: Weak, Fair, Good, or Excellent.
- A coverage line:
Scored from N of M applicable checks.
The coverage line names what the score used. Checks that do not apply are excluded from the visible report and score. It is not a catalog-wide check count.
Read the six categories
Every scored check belongs to one category:
- SEO
- Content
- Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Analytics and Tracking
- Conversion
- Trust and Proof
Each category shows its own score and band. Analytics and Tracking covers measurement wiring and readiness. It does not report visitor behavior or connected-provider performance.
Use points available
A scored category can show +N points available. Use that figure to find the score-moving gaps with the most room.
Opportunity checks are different. When an optional signal is absent, it appears as an Opportunity and does not move the score.
Read result states
Visible checks use four states:
- Passed: observed evidence meets the check.
- Needs attention: a scored gap needs review.
- Critical: the highest-priority scored gap.
- Opportunity: a supported improvement that does not move the score.
Open a finding to read:
- What we checked
- What we found
- Why it matters
- How to fix
The finding can also include a scoped fix prompt. A person or agent decides what to change and makes the change. Marketing Signal does not edit or deploy the page.
Treat internal links as context
Marketing Signal can show internal-link counts for page and architecture context. Internal links are not a scored check.
